1. project overview
In order to alleviate the traffic congestion in Khartoum, meet the needs of urban development, accelerate the process of urban modernization, and improve the image of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, the Khartoum State Government proposed to build a new light Urban Rail Transit plan in Khartoum. CRRC Guangzhou Co., Ltd. provides detailed design and technical scheme for the project, and organizes research, development, design and manufacturing of 6 diesel EMUs exported from China to Sudan for the project. At the same time, Lianxin Hong Kong Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CRRC Guangzhou, provides station building engineering design and supply materials and labor force for light rail projects, as well as line construction materials.
2. Project design
The light rail line is designed from the center of Khartoum to the refinery in the north. The line is densely populated and prosperous with huge passenger flow. The original transportation system can not meet the needs of urban development. It is planned to build a transit based urban rail transit system, so as to improve the comfort of citizens, enhance the commercial value of land along the light rail line, and provide good infrastructure conditions for economic development. According to this design scheme, six MC + T + T + TC diesel multiple units are required, each with a capacity of 430 passengers and a design speed of 120 km / h. There are 8 stations along the line, which can meet the travel needs of citizens.
3. six EMUs
The six EMUs supplied by CRRC Guangzhou completed the design in early 2014, shipped to Sudan in early 2015, and completed the dynamic and static commissioning acceptance work in Port Sudan in the second half of 2015, and passed the technical acceptance by the owner.
4. station building and railway materials
Lianxin Hong Kong Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company of Guangzhou CRRC, designs the station building for the light rail project and provides building materials and labor force, subcontracts the construction of 8 stations along the line, and has completed the station building construction at present; in addition, it also supplies the line materials for the railway line construction, including crossing, rail and other materials.
